Privacy Policy

BOGUARD, K.K. (株式会社ボガード, “we”) explains here how information is handled in NanDatte, our app for iPhone and Apple Watch (the “app”), and on this website.

1. Our basic approach

The app transcribes speech on your iPhone. Audio data is never sent to a server. We do not receive your audio, your transcripts, or your history through the app.

2. Information the app handles

Audio

Audio from the microphone is processed on your iPhone, using Apple’s speech recognition, in order to transcribe it. It is not sent to us or to any other company.

Transcripts and history

Transcripts are saved on your iPhone as history. Only text is kept; audio is not saved. You can delete history in the app.

If you use iPhone backups (such as iCloud Backup), your history is included in those backups. Backups are made by Apple’s systems, according to your settings.

Text cleanup and history summaries

These features use on-device AI (Apple Intelligence) and are processed on your iPhone. Your transcripts are not sent to us or to any other company.

Apple Watch

Text shown on Apple Watch is sent directly from your iPhone to your paired Apple Watch. It does not pass through our servers.

Sharing

Transcripts and history leave the app only when you choose Share and decide where to send them.

Face ID and passcode

When Require Authentication is on, your identity is checked by iPhone itself. The app does not receive face or fingerprint information.

3. Information we do not collect

• The app has no account sign-up. We do not collect your name, email address, or similar details through the app.
• The app has no ads. We do not track you for advertising.
• The app contains no analytics tools, such as third-party analytics services.

4. Information handled by Apple

Tips (in-app purchases)

The optional tip feature in the app uses Apple’s in-app purchase system. Apple processes the payment, and we do not receive your card details. What we receive from Apple is sales totals and similar information that does not identify you.

Speech recognition data

If the language data needed for transcription is not on your iPhone, it is downloaded to your iPhone from Apple. No audio is sent when this happens.

Diagnostics

If you have chosen, in iPhone settings, to share analytics with app developers, we may receive diagnostic information through Apple, in a form that does not identify you.

5. Information we receive when you contact us

When you use the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, your iPhone model and iOS version, and your message. We use them only to reply and to improve the app. We do not provide them to third parties, except where required by law.

To prevent abuse of the form, such as mass submissions, we keep information that distinguishes the sender (your IP address, converted into a form that cannot be reversed) on the server for a short time.

6. This website

This website does not use ads or analytics tools. The server that hosts it may keep ordinary access records, such as the time of access and IP address.

7. Children

The app does not send anyone’s information to us. The same is true for children.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the change on this page. For major changes, we will make the notice easy to find.
